This morning we actually had a few minutes before sending the oldest two off to school. We were by the couch and Brooks was snuggling with this blanket.
Brooks says: "Mom dis or bankit?" (Mom this your blanket?)
I said: "Yes"
Brynn says (in her high mommy voice): "That was mom's when she was a baby. We were up in heaven."
Brev said (in his matter of fact voice): "Dad was 10." (Yes for those who don't know...we are 10 years apart)
You could then see Brynn's wheels a turning in her head.
Brynn then says: "If dad is older than mom...then why is mom in charge?"
I just had a good laugh at that point. Thanks Brynn for knowing who's boss and for always making me laugh.
