Blackberry Picking

On 08/25/09 - Keith and I decided to take the kids for a walk, so we wanted to see if the kids could endure the Lakeland Hill. They did it, but on the way up the back side they were "starving". Brev said, "I can't walk anymore. I think I'm gonna die if I don't get any food." Much to his excitement, we found blackberry bushes. My kids have never had blackberries, as I don't care for berries that much. Needless to say...they LOVED it.

We decided to go picking for blackberries the next day. The kids were so excited and couldn't wait for dad to get home. Kaya came to join us too.

Melody and the girls...including Baby Lily in her belly.

Brooks and Kaya chowed on these blackberries. They loved them. We had Brooks' bucket filled almost a third of the way full. I got busy picking and turned to check on Brooks bucket to see that the bottom of the bucket only had a few blackberries left.

Like father, like son. Keith really got into picking the berries with the two older kids.
