Point Defiance Zoo

It was a rough week during mid-winter break at the Dorsey household. I was sick, work was a joke for me, and grandma was getting ready for her surgery. Although we were able to escape to the zoo for a little time away.

It was a cold, but sunny day. Since it was sunny a lot of the animals were out. The elephants were just staring at us, at one point.

The tiger was actually out of the trees and walking around, which I had never seen that before.
Although we were not really ready for the monkey's X-rated show they were putting on. One kid asked his dad, "What are they doing?" The dad's voice cracked and he said, "Oh they are just grooming." Brevin told Melody that she needed a picture of those crazy monkeys.

The kids got to see some huge sea turtles, pet some starfish, and watch scuba divers in the shark tank.

Brev, Brooks, Kaya, and Brynn watched the fish/shark tank for a good 20 minutes alone.

Brooks got some energy out on the slide before her nap.

Kaya and Brynn had fun climbing around like spiders on the spider jungle gym web.

Thanks for treating us to the zoo with your pass, it was a great day at the zoo - minus the meltdown on the way home! The monkey images are burned on my brain forever! What a show.
